I'd like to hear from folks who are co-pastors about some of the unique challenges they have encountered. How long have you been co-pastors and what makes it work? -- Karen Selig

This comment from Dan Buttry, came in a month ago. Sorry to be so long in posting it. Alan
Sharon and I have different ministries that often take us in opposite directions, though we do our best to connect to each other's ministries as best we can. But to maintain our togetherness as a couple bound together not just by our own love but by the love of God in Christ,we have developed a shared daily spiritual discipline. We are Friends of the Northumbria Community in the United Kingdom. The Northumbria Community published "Celtic Daily Prayer" (forward by Richard Foster) which has daily liturgies and two annual cycles of readings, drawing both from ancient Celtic Christian writings and stories as well as contemporary Christian writings and witness. Whether we are together or apart (I travel a lot as an IM global missionary), we share this daily discipline of liturgy, readings and prayers. It has become a key part of our spiritual rhythm and strength as a couple.
